With Increase in power comes the need for increase for Airflow. The factory design for the intake on the 78 series leaves a lot to be desired with a turbo situated behind a large profile engine mount allowing no access for decent sized plumbing. We solve this issue with our revised engine mount bracket. This allows for a much smaller profile and enables us to get a 3” diameter tube all the way through to the turbo inlet.
We run the piping in seamless 4” stainless tube across the engine bay and down beside the radiator shroud. We then taper down to our calibrated MAF sized tube. Then duct in 3” tube to the turbo inlet. We supply a piggy-back Harness to relocate the Mass Air Flow sensor wiring, so no cutting and soldering of important signal wiring is required.
The snout of the turbo is replaced for a straight inlet. Snouts can be supplied to suit different turbo inlet sizing. Supplied with all items needed to fit out.
